In the first two years of operation, CarWash College, the industry recognized authority for conveyor car wash training, successfully trained over 1,000 students. The college’s curriculum is continuously revised to capture the latest in technology and best practices in the industry. The three main classroom courses that are the core of the college are Equipment Maintenance, Equipment Repair, and Car Wash Management. The comprehensive training programs were designed to be non-brand specific and 95% of what a student learns is transferable to any conveyor car wash. In fact, over 30% of the students who have attended CarWash College own an equipment brand other than what they were trained on.
In the April 2008 issue, Professional Carwashing & Detailing (an industry specific publication) published survey results pertaining to education and certification programs within the car wash industry. When asked “Who would you prefer provide education to the industry?” respondents identified manufacturer/suppliers as their top choice (35.1%) and independent, third party providers (12.6%) as an additional choice. Financed by SONNY’S Enterprises and other major industry suppliers, but independently operated, CarWash College fits in both of those categories and was listed as the independent school focused on conveyor car wash training. The original three core-curriculum programs offered were so successful that CarWash College continues to expand its curriculum. We listened, and responded, to what our students wanted and are proud to offer three new on-site programs tailored to your individual needs: Start-Up Training; Maintenance Implementation and Equipment Audit. We are continuing to build upon our core curriculum and will introduce new programs in the near future.
CarWash College introduced the most comprehensive and successful training program in history to the car wash industry. There are two components of the college that continually get commented on. The first is the equipment lab. The lab is outfitted with the latest equipment that has been modified for a training or classroom setting. This allows for hands on training of the repair and maintenance programs being taught. The second is the quantity and completeness of the written materials used in the classroom that you can take with you once the course is completed for future reference.
